KEEP ME UPDATED
Sacred Mountain Journeys is a space for renewal, reflection and rejuvenation.
In this space you will be invited to release yourself from life's challenges into magical, joyful living.
Join us on this 3-day retreat where you can authentically experience yourself,
others and spirit through nature, conversation, sacred ritual and fun.

Living  From the  Inside Out

You may find yourself at the edge of a new portal, longing to enter but afraid of the unknown, trying to sort out your own voice from those around you. This is the time to turn inward, to listen to your own heartbeat and let that direct you from the inside-out.

Step Into Silence
Silence is the doorway to a receptive presence that unlocks the mystery of nature. It is not just the absence of talking.  It is a space of inner quiet that opens us to the subtle and profound teachings of the earth.

             Immerse Yourself in Beauty
Imagine a retreat where you are immersed in the                                  wilderness surrounded by spectacular beauty.  You  listen                    deeply to yourself  and the earth around you. The pristine                 landscapes, the crystal streams, the birds and plants all                       awaken your spirit.

Embrace abundant joy and inspiration
Allowing joy into your life, requires opening your heart completely. It's easy to get stuck in a victim identity, waiting for a resolution outside yourself. How would it feel to live with inspiration and passion?

Music opens the heart to receive joy, love and inspiration.  It conjures pleasure and helps us to access our true emotions and bring them to the surface to be seen.  Making music together as a group, helps to develop a deeper connection with each other.  The music we make will require no experience, just an open heart.

Fire is warmth, it is passion.  We will gather together around the flame in some form (candles, wood stove or fire ring), to talk, laugh and cultivate a bond with one another.  It is a place for you to show up in whatever way is most nurturing, from talking about a challenge, a joy or choosing to be quiet.

Writing from your heart is the place where you can talk honestly with yourself.  Asking questions and exploring your inner and outer world will lead you to your authentic self and help you understand what you most need to live "from the inside out."
  • Picture
When we quiet our minds and focus into the heart of nature, we can transform our lives by turning inward and responding to our inner landscape.
This presence allows us to listen deeply to ourselves and open our hearts  to joy and receptivity.
We will take a few moments each day to sit in stillness, breathe and open our hearts.

n its simplest form, forest bathing is the act of being immersed in nature and focusing on the sights, sounds, and smells of your surroundings to promote physiological and psychological health. Forest bathing links back to shinrin-yoku, a Japanese healing practice that has been scientifically proven to reduce stress and strengthen immune systems.

 The Sacred Elements
We will use the Sacred Elements as  a path to support your life.
In every element there is a truth about our experience, and every element offers us a way forward, a life-giving force.

Water represents tears.  To fully feel ourselves we must sit with, and be authentic and honest, with our pain.

Water is also life.  A river flows.  It is not stagnant or stuck.  Sitting with a river helps to bring flow into our lives and release control.  Water is joy.
  • Picture
Earth is an unmovable force -it can seem impossible to relocate or shift the obstacles of our life challenge.  We lack the strength to get beyond the hurdles and hardships that seem unrelenting.

Earth is a permanent, anchored support -it is stable and secure.  It is strong  when we are weak. It holds us and doesn't move. We receive strength  by grounding our energy to the earth's energy.  This element offers us an amazing centered, tranquility.
  • Picture
Air drifts and swirls aimlessly- loss, strife, failure  or deep collapse can leave us drifting aimlessly.

Air is freedom. Air is spirit- like a mountain mist or the ethereal steam from your tea, we can let go and find a lightness, releasing the shadow that can fill our hearts.  Air is spirit, it allows us to be touched by that mystical place inside ourselves, by the the universe, our ancestors and the divine .
  • Picture

Fire is strong emotion- sadness, anger, failure, resentment; allow yourself to feel your emotions honestly.

Fire is passion and joy -identify your passions and create a goal to bring more of them into your life; align your passions and dreams with what is truly inside your soul.
